Thanks for sharing, I truly believe we all learn and find comfort in other's experiences. The first time my horse had an abscess, I was so terrified, he could barely walk. The vet came out, immediately diagnosed it from how he was standing, pulled his shoes, started cutting under it and ooze....out came some goo. So we soaked for several days and then left the boot on dry and he was fine in a week.
