Historical fiction is one of my favorite genre...accurate or not.

My oven is full of clean baking dishes and such...fortunately, I have a dishwasher to "hide" the dirty dishes. It's a nice asset.Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10029423500476995817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1705934261650966758.post-52796323864762806382011-04-07T06:18:26.419-07:002011-04-07T06:18:26.419-07:00I love The Robe, despite it's many inaccuracie...I love The Robe, despite it's many inaccuracies. The main one is that Marcellus and Demetrius, uncircumcised Gentiles, become Christians long before they were accepted into the Christian congregation. The first uncircumcised Gentile to become a Christian was Cornelius in Acts chapter 10. But heyho; I read the Bible for accuracy and this book for sheer pleasure! Anyway, don't know how far you've got, but I fell in love with Demetrius at his first appearance and as far as I'm concerned, Marcellus comes a poor second! I found the film a great disappointment; it completely changes the relationship between the two and Victor Mature as Demetrius - far too old for the role even in 1953!!Attilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15916442932314835859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1705934261650966758.post-14055914064693767912011-04-06T16:03:51.891-07:002011-04-06T16:03:51.891-07:00I read The Robe when I was in my teens just becaus...I read The Robe when I was in my teens just because it was on my parents' bookshelf. It was gripping...and I still own that very book. I might never read it again, but it's a keeper.Junehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11710135137635433217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1705934261650966758.post-45416292306233285542011-04-06T15:27:48.326-07:002011-04-06T15:27:48.326-07:00My dirty dihes are hiding in the oven right now!My dirty dihes are hiding in the oven right now!carol at homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13757218125815992715noreply@blogger.com
